Ambiance and flavor make this a featured dining experience.

The name "Coldwater Cafe" came from the nickname of my late father "Coldwater Joe" Peachey, who came from a small valley in Pennsylvania. In the front of the home where he was reared ran a creek and this area became known as Coldwater.
When the cafe opened in February of 1994, it was a risk that offered success or failure. Family and closes friends made the dream a reality. Some of the many changes that have developed during these past few years have been talented additions to our staff and our ever-famous and private dining room, named by Virginia Vocke, a lifelong resident of Tipp City, though it clever naming it after the "Thistle Club", a private men's card club dating to the beginning of the 1900's. The ambience here keeps changing. Some have embraced our new look which includes our new hostess station in the entrance and the hutch in the rear, used as a server station. These pieces were brought back from a trip to Provence, France. Smaller and closer seating adds to the cafe's warmth as does our resident pig, proudly displaying our daily delectable desserts.
Our gifted and creative chef is none other than my son, Nick. His pursuit for fresh and quality ingredients, his exuberant creativity and devotion to please every culinary palate merits him rave reviews. He has added a whole new dimension to our menu. Since earning his culinary degree, Chef Nick has attended the culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, California. Additionally, tours of wineries in the Napa Valley have inspired us to carry excellent wines for every occasion.
